Tim Mousel

Tim Mousel is a full-time faculty member in the Kinesiology department at LSC-Online and a pioneering voice in artificial intelligence in education. His expertise has been recognized with multiple awards, including the 2022 Lone Star College-Online Faculty Excellence Award, the 2023 NISOD Excellence Award, and the 2023 Master Presenter – International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence from the University of Texas.

Tim, a sought-after keynote speaker, has spoken at numerous prestigious conferences and events, including the 2023 Fall convocations at South Texas College, National Park College, Tallahassee Community College, and the 2024 TxDLA Conference. His presentations, such as “AI-Assisted Instructional Design: Creating Engaging and Effective Learning Materials,” have been well-received at international conferences like NISOD’s 2023 International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence.

Tim’s work extends beyond speaking engagements. He has participated in panel discussions on critical topics like “Overcoming Barriers to AI Adoption in Education” and “Ethical Considerations in EdTech: Addressing Bias and Fairness in Generative AI.” His expertise has been showcased in various symposiums, including the Binational Educational Symposium attended by Texas A&M University and eight universities in Mexico.

With a passion for programming dating back to the late 1990s, Tim developed two commercial educational AI tools, PocketAI.Online and eFit.Software, before the advent of ChatGPT. His insights have been featured in Forbes magazine, with articles in May and July 2024 discussing the impact of AI on education. Tim’s work bridges the gap between technological innovation and practical application in education, making him a valuable voice in shaping the future of AI in higher learning.
