Public AI Summit for Educators
Join us on September 16-17 for keynotes and interactive workshops designed to help educators navigate AI with confidence.New technologies have forever changed the way we learn and teach. As an educator and researcher in artificial intelligence, Sarah Newman, Director of Art & Education at Harvard’s metaLAB and lead of the AI Pedagogy Project, will share recommendations on how we can best address this situation. Although it may seem overwhelming, the introduction of these technologies gives us the opportunity to revise what has not worked in education, while protecting what is most important.
The talk focused on the value of interdisciplinarity—grounded in ethics, creativity, and critical thinking—and how we can harness the opportunities it offers. Newman discussed common pitfalls to avoid, and provided concrete recommendations that educators can implement.
