David Pedersen

David Pedersen, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Finance at Rutgers School of Business-Camden, where he regularly shares his teaching innovations with the business school faculty and the wider campus community. In December 2023, he and a colleague led a seminar on Generative AI in the Classroom for the business faculty. To disseminate best practices, they also created a Canvas site, RU Using AI, with a catalog of classroom use cases. In March 2024, he led a seminar on online student engagement. In April 2024, he served on a campus-wide panel discussing Generative AI in the Classroom. Based on his innovative work in online courses, David was a recipient of Rutgers University’s 2023-2024 Warren I. Susman Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Rutgers School of Business-Camden’s 2023-2024 Teaching Innovation Award.
